The Young Driver Foundation

Welcome to the Young Driver Foundation!

Our mission is to provide driving lessons and promote road safety among schools, clubs, and charities as a non-profit division of Young Driver. With almost 15 years of experience in offering driving lessons to 4-17-year-olds, Young Driver is dedicated to instilling safe and responsible driving habits in young people by delivering driver training and road awareness from as early as age 4 to 17.

The Young Driver Foundation made its debut on BBC's "The One Show" on June 6th, 2023, with a special focus on primary school students, although we also offer a program tailored for secondary school students.

We are confident that your students would benefit greatly from our program. By bringing Young Driver to your school, we aim to empower your students with a comprehensive understanding of road safety, responsible driving practices, increased self-confidence, the ability to conquer fears, improved risk awareness, better decision-making skills, and substantial personal development. All of this is achieved through practical driving lessons on your premises.

Our practical driving activities, led by experienced ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) instructors, can complement your school's curriculum and emphasise the significance of responsible road use and driving.

Here's what we offer:

For 4 to 10-year-olds: Your young learners can grasp the basics of driving in one of our all-electric Firefly Sport cars. These cars drive just like regular vehicles but are resized for our little drivers, as seen on "The One Show."

For 10 to 17-year-olds: We offer an introduction to driving in a dual-controlled Corsa or a similar vehicle, with one of our Government-approved ADIs.

The size of the group and the number of cars we provide depend on the available space for driving at your location. To ensure accessibility for as many schools and groups as possible, our packages are subsidized by Young Driver.
